Frequently asked questions

How quickly can I get an appointment?

In most cases during working hours we send available options within minutes. Ultrasound and X-ray are often available same day. MRI and CT may require 1–2 days' notice.

What does the price include?

The price you receive covers the services listed in your booking. Prices are set by the partner facility; we confirm the final amount in writing before you pay, and it does not change afterwards. Anything you order additionally at the clinic is paid there, at the facility's own rates.

Do I pay anything at the clinic?

No. The services listed in your voucher are settled by HealthBali directly with the facility – you simply arrive at your appointment time with the voucher.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes. Tell us as early as you can and we will move the appointment. Cancellation and refund terms are set out in our Finance Policy; the facility may apply its own rules for late changes.

Which clinics do you work with?

Licensed clinics and laboratories in Bali that we work with under direct agreements. The specific facility for your booking – with its address and details – is named in your booking confirmation before you pay.

Who chooses which tests I need?

Your doctor does. HealthBali does not recommend tests, interpret results or decide on the scope of an examination – we organise the visit you ask for. If you are unsure what you need, the clinic can arrange a consultation first.

Is a doctor's referral required for diagnostics?

Yes, under local regulations a doctor's referral is required for diagnostic procedures. Please obtain one before your appointment.

Do I need to prepare for the test?

It depends on the type of test. Abdominal ultrasound usually requires fasting for 4–6 hours. MRI with contrast requires prior blood tests (creatinine, urea, eGFR). We will send preparation instructions when confirming your booking.

Will I receive my results in English?

Yes, results are issued in English – this is the standard in Bali. If you would like the findings explained, we can arrange a consultation with a doctor at the clinic. HealthBali does not interpret results and does not give medical advice.

Will someone help me at the appointment?

Yes. We arrange the time, send you the address and directions, stay in touch on the day, and can assist with translation. You are not left to navigate an unfamiliar clinic alone.

Will my insurance cover the cost?

Coverage depends on your policy. Clinics provide standard medical documents and receipts. HealthBali does not provide insurance advice and cannot guarantee reimbursement.

What happens to my data?

We use your details only to arrange and coordinate the visit you requested, and share them with the chosen facility for that purpose. Handling of personal and health data is described in our Privacy Policy.

  • Why is high-quality diagnostics so important?
Diagnostics play a key role in maintaining health and preventing diseases. Here are a few reasons why diagnostics are so crucial:
Early disease detection: Diagnostic tests allow for the detection of diseases at early stages, before they manifest with clear symptoms. This is especially important for diseases like cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes, where early treatment can significantly improve prognosis.
Accurate determination of symptom causes: Diagnostics help identify the exact causes of symptoms, enabling doctors to prescribe the most effective treatment. For instance, headaches can be caused by a variety of factors, and only thorough diagnostics can uncover the true cause.
Monitoring chronic diseases: For individuals with chronic conditions such as diabetes or hypertension, regular diagnostics are essential for monitoring the condition and adjusting treatment. This helps prevent complications and maintain quality of life.
Prevention of complications: Timely diagnostics can identify predispositions to certain diseases and allow for preventive measures. For example, regular cholesterol checks can prevent the development of atherosclerosis and related cardiovascular diseases.
Peace of mind and confidence: Regular diagnostics provide confidence in one’s health status and help avoid uncertainty and anxiety about potential illnesses.
